Spot on. I think the most frustrating thing about this is that the attention everyday people have given to the crisis in Palestine has put serious pressure on U.S. government, international influence, and I believe will eventually result in a slowdown or a ceasefire. Which proves that awareness, attention, and pressure can work, or at the least put all eyes on perpetrators. I imagine that if even a quarter of that pressure was put toward the ongoing genocide in DRC, Sudan, etc. then the large scale killing wouldn't be accomplished so easily. And yet, so many - even those who know about it - deliberately choose to turn away. It makes me physically ill to know that.
